Loan programs for medical professionals
Student debt does not have to keep you renting.
There is a class of mortgage written for medical professionals, usually called a physician or professional loan program. Depending on the lender, it may offer:
- A reduced or even zero down payment
- No private mortgage insurance
- Student debt counted differently than a conventional loan
Some programs admit only physicians. Others extend to dentists, veterinarians, and in certain cases nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse anesthetists and pharmacists. Terms are set by each lender and change over time. This is general information, not a commitment to lend.
